Today is election day in the United Stares. Some people are extremely excited , even hysterical, over the outcome—on both sides. I think it would be a good thing for our own mental health and for our nation to calm down and realize over the course of our history sometimes one side wins, and sometimes the other side wins. We have no personal control over the outcome. The only things we control are our own vote and our own conversation and our own inner dialog.
So read and contemplate the opening quote that comes to us from 2000 years ago from a great and wise man. Apply it not only to today, but everyday, so that we are in charge of our own selves and our own peace of mind.
