They were not perfect men, as men rarely are. They did have a great vision and the courage to stand behind it. I am always moved deeply when I think of those days, of the discussions and arguments that led up to the final document. Ordinary men became great men that day. I am thankful for them. My freedom is an inheritance from what they began.
