Learning (Goal Number: ) Ignorance
enlightenment, scholarship, intellect, aware crass, uninformed, superficial, unaware
AWAKE
TO THE GENUINE VALUE:
You find it exciting to learn new things, meet and learn about new people and cultures, discover new music, read about new ideas, and so on. You do not resist letting go and welcoming new information. Enlightenment has long been the goal in spirituality, and you seek it in all areas. You want to know. You admire good scholarship. You like challenging your intellect and stretching your mind. You consider it extremely important to be as aware of the truth as you possibly can.
PARTIALLY ASLEEP TO
THE GENUINE VALUE:
You value learning, up to a point. You have some areas that you have decided about and do not want those disturbed. You tend to read about or watch videos that reinforce your own ideas, maybe expanding them some, but you are uncomfortable going into new territory. You may have some areas where you are willing to explore new ideas.
LIVING IN THE IMPOSTOR VALUE:
You are locked into your worldview and refuse to entertain new ideas. You have made idols of some ideas, sacred and not up for discussion. Because of your extreme refusal to consider learning, you are ill-informed on most issues, stuck in your own mind. You are unaware, and don’t care about breakthroughs and new understandings, at least in most areas. If they reinforce your beliefs, then you consider them. You have a surface, superficial view of many areas. You consider learned people negatively, giving them names to disparage them, such as high and mighty, air heads, too good for their own britches, they are full of hot air, etc.
Look at your life. Which is the most true for you? ____ 1 _____ 2 _____ 3

FOCUSING YOUR
MIND
Going for the

To shift in the direction of learning select some or all of
the following and copy them in order to have them with you. Live with them.
Think about them. Absorb them.
· God gave me intelligence and expects me to use it.
· It is important to seek the truth, for I don’t want to live
a lie.
· Enlightenment is a goal of mine.
· The more I know, the more options I have.
· An old saying is – the person with the most options wins.
· It is fun to learn new things.
REINFORCING BEHAVIORS
Action steps to take to get off the log
· Subscribe to Smithsonian on your phone or computer. Read
about new discoveries.
· Armstrong Institute does archeology in Israel, and their
emails and magazine are free. Learn about new discoveries in relation to the
Bible.
· On YouTube, watch AfterSkool videos on various subjects.
Think about the new ideas.
· Think of an area you would like to learn about, such as how to
paint, what happens in the deepest sea, how far away are the stars, who was
George Washington, how does an engine work, or most anything. Research it in a
variety of ways.
· Get a friend, or several friends, to go on the adventure of
learning together. Have discussions about the areas you select to learn about.
Think deeply about it.
· Enroll in courses in person or online. Maybe finish or start a degree.
